Hard-Hitting Hopper Homers Hitters come up One Run Short on Friday night, as Greenville Drive slip past Greensboro Grasshoppers, 9-8(Fred Anderson Toyota of Raleigh Game Report)

The Greensboro Grasshoppers with Four More LOOOOOOOOOOONG GONE Home Runs on Friday night, to now give the team a total of 159 Home Runs on the season…Hoppers were down 9-3, going into the Bottom of the Ninth Inning, and that is where they rallied….Two outs and Sammy Stafura comes with a Two-Run HR to left center field…That made the score, 9-8 Greenville, and then the clock struck 9:46 o’clock, and the game was over…Close, but one run short of the full comeback…

But, the fans were treated to that solid comeback by the Greensboro Grasshoppers, and the fans also saw an exciting postgame Fireworks Show, plus there were plenty of Fireworks during the game, with the Hoppers hitting Big Home Runs…They usually hit the in-game Fireworks button, each time the Hoppers hit another in-game Home Run…

It was Three Solo HRs in the ballgame, until Stafura hit his Three-Run Bomb in the Ninth Inning…Solo Home Run by Edward Florentino in the First Inning, and it was his 12th of the season…Easton Carmichael’s solo HR in the Seventh Inning was his 14th of the year…Camden Janik jacked one out of the park in the Seventh Inning too, and for Janik it was HR #3 for 2026…And then Sammy Stafura smacked his 12th HR, in that comeback Ninth Inning…

Hoppers were up, 1-0, then it was tied up at 1-1…And then the Drive made the score 3-1, before the Hoppers tied it back up, at 3-3…The Drive moved on top 9-3, at the end of the Top of the Ninth Inning…Then the Hoppers got their groove back, and made it 9-5 Drive, right before Stafura hit his Three-Run Homer, and that ended up, ending it all, making the final score, Greenville Drive 9, Greensboro Grasshoppers 8…..
