NASHVILLE STAMPEDE CLOSE PBR TEAMS HOMESTAND WITH WALK-OFF WIN OVER OKLAHOMA WILDCATTERS, REMAINING LEAGUE’S TOP TEAM
Missouri Thunder Finish Perfect 3-0 to Cap Off Weekend, Rising to No. 4 in 2026 PBR Teams Standings
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Nashville Stampede (9-2) closed out their three-day homestand by walking off the Oklahoma Wildcatters (4-7) at Bridgestone Arena to conclude Stampede Days. The Stampede began the weekend on Friday night with a walk-off win over the Arizona Ridge Riders (7-4). Nashville is two games ahead in the PBR Teams standings after four events.
On Sunday, Nashville pulled out the victory in front of their roaring home crowd in the bottom of the fifth when Riquelmi Silva (Bom Jesus do Araguaia, Brazil) posted the high score of the day and best of his career with 90.9 points on Big Mac – his second walk-off win of the weekend.
One ride was all that was needed as well for the reigning Teams Champion Carolina Cowboys (7-4) as they defeated the Texas Rattlers (6-5) 89.05-0, opening Sunday’s slate. In the second frame, Guilherme Valleiras (Pirassununga, São Paulo, Brazil) rode Drinkin & Dreamin for 89.05 points, the only ride necessary for the win. Valleiras rode two bulls on the weekend, accounting for two-thirds of Carolina’s rides in Nashville.
The Kansas City Outlaws (5-6) put together another strong performance, taking a 264.4-176.95 win over the Florida Freedom (5-6), who . The Outlaws were the only team to go 3-0 in Nashville.
Kansas City’s three-ride effort was headed by Sandro Batista’s (Pedra Preta, Brazil) 85.6-point ride on White Out in the opening frame, marking his perfect 3-for-3 weekend. 2024 PBR World Champion Cassio Dias (São F. de Sales, Brazil) recorded the highest score of the game, with 90.35 points against Organized Chaos in the fourth. Hayden Welsh (Gillette, Wyo.) proved his worth as the No. 1 pick in the 2026 PBR Teams New Rider Draft when he scored 88.45 points on Joker in a re-ride opportunity. Florida’s Alex Cerqueira (Iguatemi, Brazil) bested Game Over for the first time in three meetings, combining for 88.55 points. João Lucas Campos (Porto Feliz, São Paulo, Brazil) put up 88.4 points against Woody in the fourth for the Freedom.
The Missouri Thunder (6-5) outlasted the hard-luck New York Mavericks (1-10) 179-175.1 for a perfect 3-0 weekend in Smashville. Paulo Eduardo Rossetto (Colorado, Brazil) set the tone of the game with 90.6 points on High Caliber in the first out. New York’s Mauricio Gulla Moreira (Gaviao Peixoto, São Paulo, Brazil) responded with 89.4 points on Show Me The Money. Julio Cesar Marques (Tatuí, São Paulo, Brazil) capitalized on a re-ride opportunity with an 88.4-point ride aboard The Heat to extend Missouri’s lead. New York’s Marco Rizzo (Quitman, Ga.) was able to cover Homewrecker in the game’s final out but came up short of the win with 85.7 points.
Arizona outrode the Austin Gamblers (5-6) three rides to two for a 263.05-175.65 win. Arizona’s Luciano De Castro (Guzolandia, São Paulo, Brazil) earned 87.3 points on Little Rip in the first and was backed up by Eduardo Aparecido’s (Gouvelandia, Brazil) 87.8 points on Max Bet in the second. The final ride for the Ridge Riders came from Elizmar Jeremias (Anapu, Brazil), scoring 87.95 points on Elmo. Austin’s pair of rides came in the opening two frames from three-time PBR World Champion Jose Vitor Leme (Ribas do Rio Pardo, Brazil) (87.35 points on Black Velvet) and Dalton Kasel (Muleshoe, Texas) (88.3 on UB Smooth).
Leme continues to lead the PBR Teams MVP Race with 796.7 points, covering 9 of his 11 bulls (81.82%) to lead the march by a full ride.
In a weekend of high-bull scores, three bulls tied for the Bull of the Event as Buck Nasty, Cherry Shot, and Elmo each scored 45.45 points over the three-day event.
