Four Weeks into the season, and here go again, with our Saturday Morning Rewind…The Rewind started up back in 2005 and is still going strong in most of our local nooks and crannies, here in 2026…Let’s hear it for Hinshaw, who was on the scene with us, back when this Rewind started rolling/moving…
From last night’s games, and to me the best game of all, might have been that Southeast Alamance, 55-52, win over Southern Alamance…They put up 107 points, in the new “Battle of Alamance County”, and were four points better, than the 104 points we saw last week, in the Northern Guilford 62-42 victory over Northwest Guilford….
Just look at these scores from last night’s games, and you will notice quite a few of those good old-fashioned Blowouts…Even the Dudley win over Northeast Guilford got a bit large at the end of the contest…
Back to those scores from last night’s games again….After the first game, look at the scores from the next Seven Games….

Southeast Alamance 55-52 victory over Southern Alamance from Ben McCormick, at High School OT….
SWEPSONVILLE, N.C. — After erasing a 15-point first quarter deficit, establishing a double-digit lead in the second half, scoring 52 points, and rushing for 360 yards —- Southern Alamance lost.
A road rivalry matchup at Southeast Alamance came down to one final play: a fitting end to a truly wild night.
Patriot quarterback Tustin Johnson rolled out and turned toward the left side of the end zone where junior Sincere Thompson faced 1-on-1 coverage — but the pass didn’t meet its mark. Instead, the Stallion defenders jumped up and down with pride and elation defining each leap.
Southeast Alamance (4-0, 1-0 Mid-Carolina) captured a thrilling 55-52 victory against Southern (3-1, 0-1 Mid-Carolina) in front of a loud and sizable crowd in Swepsonville this Friday for the HighSchoolOT Game of the Week.
In just the second match up ever between the two crosstown rivals — a fact that is aided by the youth of Southeast’s program, which began in 2023 — the results of the Week 4 matchup was an unmistakable sign of things to come in this blossoming rivalry.
“It’s a real rivalry,” Southeast tight end and defensive end Drew Easter said definitively. “Just being on two opposite sides of the town, less than 15 minutes away from each other, everybody knows everybody. But we all know, whenever we’re on the field, we’re not brothers anymore, we’ve got to go to war.”
This game certainly seemed like a battle…..Read MORE, when you CLICK HERE….
