GREENSBORO, N.C. – Recognizing one of the most-decorated graduating classes in program history, the Guilford College women’s soccer team (3-10-2, 2-8-0 ODAC) celebrated their Senior Day in style, besting Sweet Briar College (2-10-3, 2-8 ODAC), 2-1 to complete their season with an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) victory on Wednesday night at Appenzeller Field at the Armfield Athletic Center.

Pregame the Quakers highlighted their standout senior core that contributed to a 37-24-10 record over their four years, collecting an assortment of accolades along the way as Kylee Berry (Kernersville, N.C.), Keeli Crisco (Albemarle, N.C.), Ashlyn Kahre (Fort Mill, S.C.), Ashlyn Miller (Charlotte, N.C.), Kylie Muse (Browns Summit, N.C.), and Ainsley Yates (West End, N.C.) were honored for their successes in the cardinal and grey.

During the game itself, Guilford was in full control, outshooting SBC, 18-2, and in shots on goal, 12-1. GC also got all-four corner kicks while it was a clean game with just three total fouls, two of them on the guests.

Lorelai Lis (Bradenton, Fla.) made her second start of the fall in net, earning her first victory of the season and improving to 1-1-0 after going unchallenged facing just a single off-frame shot over 80 minutes of scoreless before Zoey Gillen (Holly Springs, N.C.) played some mop-up minutes and allowed the solo SBC tally. Arianna Nguyen got the nod for the Vixens and fell to 2-7-2 after making 10 saves against two goals allowed in the season finale.

The seniors were feature members on the scoresheet for GC on this evening, as Muse netted her first-career game-winning goal, Berry also got on the board, and Crisco set one of the tallies up. Emma Goodnough (Oviedo, Fla.) also pitched in a helper in the match.

Alexis Diaz finished as the Sweet Briar goal-scorer with Madison Cole assisting on the play.

Guilford would breakthrough in the 17th minute as Muse won a battle for possession in the center circle. She then ran a quick little give-and-go with Goodnough as the pivot person down the center of the pitch, getting it back from 35 yards out and using one touch before chipping a shot over Nguyen who was way up off her line. It settled into the center of the twine for the senior’s first goal of the year.

The second tally of the opening half came in the 39th minute as GC drew a corner kick. Crisco was tasked with initiating play and placed it perfectly, right in the center of the box on the goal line. Berry was on the spot and easily headed it home for her fifth goal of the fall.

Sweet Briar did get on the board late. Gathering a takeaway on a Guilford goal kick, Cole got the ball and provided a short distribution to Diaz on the left wing and she shot from about 28 yards away into top-middle of net for her third goal of the year in the 86th minute, bringing the final score to 2-1.

This concludes Guilford’s 2026 season.
