Robbin Thompson, up in Virginia, had an album back in the day with his music on it, and the album was titled “Two B’s Please”…
CLICK ON for the Video of “Sweet Virginia Breeze”, at one it was the state song for state of Virginia, and it hit the air back in the mid-70’S…..

Today the Greensboro Grasshoppers had something we want to call “Three B’s Please”….Those B’s are Jack Brannigan, who had a Grand Slam HR and his 4 RBI, plus he scored two of the Hoppers twelve runs(1-5/HR/2 Runs/4 RBI)…Then there was the next B, of the Sunday B’s, and that was Luke Brown…Brown sent the baseball out of town, with his Solo HR to right field…Brown also drove in two runs with a one-out, two-run single in the sixth inning, plus Luke let go with a near-nuke, with his SAC Fly RBI to centerfield back in the first inning…Luke Brown, with 4 RBI the hard way, and he had quite the day, going 2-3/HR/HBP/SAC FLY/Run/4 RBI….Finally, our third B was Jase Bowen…Bowen going 3-4/Double/HBP/2 Runs/RBI…Another very solid day for JB/Jase Bowen…

Bowen comes up with his 85th RBI of the year, on Sunday…Bowen now tied for #6 on the Grasshoppers’ all-time Single Season RBI leader list…Bowen tied with former Hopper Mark Canha for #6 on the list(85 RBI), with Brad McCann sitting at #1 on the list, with 106 RBI in a single season for the Hoppers…Giancarlo/Mike Stanton at #2 on the list, with 97 RBI in a single season for the Hoppers…Over his two seasons with the Greensboro Grasshoppers, Jase Bowen now with 93 overall RBI…

Those Three B’s Please meant Big Business for the Greensboro Grasshoppers, on Sunday afternoon, at First National Bank Field…Robbin Thompson, with two B’s in Robbin, and the Hoppers with their 3 B’s swinging for the trees, and bringing home the cheese, in the Hoppers 12-5, “W”…..

Very impressive, what the Hoppers ended up doing on Sunday….And they take the Six-Game Series from the Bowling Green Hot Rods, 5-1…

Other Hopper hitters:Tres Gonzalez 1-2/BB/2 Runs…Termarr Johnson 1-4/BB/Run…Shawn Ross 0-3/2 BB’s/2 Runs…Sammy Siani 1-3/Double/2 BB’s/2 Runs…Francisco Acuna 2-4/Double/RBI…

Such a hot start on Sunday by the Greensboro Grasshoppers, with their six BIG runs in the bottom of the first inning…Nine Hoppers batted in the first, YES the home team batted around, in their first trip to the plate on Sunday…The Hoppers had a bucket of water thrown on them in the 2-5 innings, and they cooled off, but they posted 2 runs per inning, in the 6th, 7th, and 8th innings, and they put this game on ice, and out of reach….

Po-Yu Chen goes just three innings in his starter’s role, then the Hoppers got work from Josh Loeschorn, Julian Bosnic, and Dante Mendoza….Loeschorn was quiet out there in his three innings of work, and he kept the Hot Rods quiet, as they found no success vs. Loeschorn or Dante Mendoza…Bosnic gave up 2 runs, on 2 hits, with 2 BB’s, and 2 K’s, in his 1 1/3 innings of work…From his starter’s role, Chen allowed 3 runs, on 4 hits, with 0 BB’s and 2 K’s, over his three innings on the hill….Loeschorn and Mendoza pretty much gave up nothing but zero’s to the Hot Rods…

Those Steak n Shake Players of the Game again were, Jack Brannigan, Luke Brown, and Jase Bowen…Not sure if it had any effect on Sunday, but Bowen and Brannigan both had the day off on Saturday….DNP on Saturday night, vs. Bowling Green….
