Join Professor Brett Chambers, Mass Communication, North Carolina Central University who will moderate a panel that brings together leaders from Durham’s vibrant African-American Entrepreneur and Business community, on revisiting Durham’s historic Black Wall Street era and movement. Panelists will explore how the Durham community’s business legacy can inform contemporary efforts to promote economic equity and social justice, examine the impact of past policies and practices that disproportionately affected Black businesses and communities, and discuss strategies for promoting entrepreneurship and wealth creation in Durham today.
