The student/athletes from Caldwell Academy participated in the following
State Championship Events during the week of October 16-21, 2023.

VARSITY TENNIS :
In the first round they traveled to Hickory, NC to play University Christian
and defeated them by a score of 5—4.
SINGLE MATCH WINNERS:: #2 Isley Ortmann (SO) 2—1,,
#3 Bebe Buchanan (SO) 2—0,, #4 Leah Roland (FR) 2—0,,
#1 Lauren Brown (SR) 2—0.
DOUBLE WINNERS :: # 2 Isley Ortmann (SO) & Lauren Brown (SR) 8—4.

In the second round they traveled to Rocky Mount, NC to play Rocky Mount
Academy and lost 5—1.. Only winner was # 1 doubles of Isley Ortmann (SO)
& Lauren Brown (SR) 8—5.

Anna Lapeirre (8th) for the season had 307 KILLS to move into the # 5
spot all time for Caldwell, replacing Hannah Hulsman who had 302 in 2018
during her Senior Year.

VARSITY SOCCER– had a bye to the third round and played Village
Christian Academy on Saturday, October 21 and defeated them 9—0.
