Grimsley Ladies snap losing streak, defeat Ragsdale 43-31.

The Grimsley Ladies’ snapped a 4 game losing streak, capitalizing on an opportunistic transition offense to pull away from Ragsdale 43-31 in Metro 4A Conference play.  Grimsley shooting guard Sanaya Blount led all scorers with 14 points. The freshman was able to score from both inside and outside on fast breaks, connecting on a big triple in the second quarter to help Grimsley build a 19-14 halftime advantage.  In the second half she broke away for layups on fast breaks.  Grimsley’s lead grew to 12 points in the third only to have Ragsdale’s Brooke Parker hit a jumper to cut the lead to 6 as the quarter wound down.  Grimsley promptly responded with 5-0 run and put the game away 43-31.   Grimsley improves to 7-11 on the season and 5-5 in the Metro 4A.  Ragsdale falls to 6-12 overall and 1-9 in conference.
