Two more Hot Hopper Homers in this game, and that now gives the Greensboro Grasshoppers 134 team home runs on the season…Hoppers’ Shawn Ross with his 17th HR of the season, and his was a two-run bomb in the bottom of the fourth inning, and it gave the GSO Hoppers a 2-0 lead, in a game that had been tighter that Dick’s Hat Band up to that point of the contest…Dick’ Hat Band is the band around your grandad’s very best hat, and that band helps the hat retain its shape…
Maikol Escotto got ship shape in the sixth inning, when he launced his 6th HR of the season to left field…The sixth frame was where the Grasshoppers blew the lid off of this game, they just reached back, and blew it open…Escotto’s HR was of the two-run version, and it set the tone for what the Hoppers were able to do in that very productive sixth inning…

Back-to-Back shutouts by the Hoppers’ pitching staff, and that is real good stuff right there…Take that to any bank in town, and they will call that a positive deposit…A quick roll of the Dash hitters on Friday night, and the man at the top of their batting order was the most productive Dash batter…Loidel Chapelli goes 1-2/2 BBs…Eddie Park was 1-4…And Calvin Harris goes 1-4…And that is it for the Dash hits…Wes Kath was 0-2/2 BBs…And there you go with the WS Dash at the plate…Three hits, and four walks and that’s all she got…
The Dash pitcher that got tagged the most was their reliever Yon Castro..Castro gave up 5 runs on 4 hits, and all five of his runs were earned…One walk, one strikeout and 1 HR off of Castro for the game…Dash starter Manuel Veloz was (5-0) coming in, and he was (5-1) going out…Veloz sitting at (16-3) over the past two seasons, as he came to the ballpark on Friday night…
