With Southwest Guilford Cowboys head football coach Kirkley Russell on Monday afternoon, and talking to the coach just outside of the SWG Cowboys weight room, there at “The Ranch”, in High Point, N.C.
Lots of good info coming in from the coach, and you’ll hear the weights banging in the background, and that is a sign that the SWG Cowboys are ready to get hit, and they are getting fit prior to the Monday football practice…
The Cowboys started with stretching and they did plenty of it, and then after the stretches, they began hitting the weights…
Coach Russell talks about his team’s scrimmage last Friday night, down at Southeast Alamance, and he also touches on the next scrimmage set for this coming Friday night, vs. the High Point Andrews Red Radiers, at Simeon Stadium, in High Point…Coach Russell new head coach at SWG, facing Andrews, and their new head Mook Reynolds…Should be a hard-hitting and fun scrimmage this Friday night at Simeon Stadium….
Coach Kirkly Russell also talked about being a former assistant football coach at Grimsley HS, where he served under head coach Todd Shuping, back in 2004…Coach Russell also coached at Carolina Forest HS, down near Myrtle Beach, S.C., and he went up against Tommy Norwood, who is the head coach at St. James HS, also near Myrtle Beach…Coach Norwood was in the Guilford County area, back when he was head coach at Southeast Guilford HS, and at Ragsdale HS…
