Baseball Adds Season Finale With Crosstown Rival, Greensboro
Quakers replace originally scheduled Carolina matchup with crosstown bout
from Bryce Johnson, Director of Athletic Communications
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Guilford College baseball team, in collaboration with Greensboro College, have added a contest to round out each of their regular season slates, the departments announced on Monday.
The Quakers will now head right up the road and duke it out one last time with the Pride to finish the regular season. Guilford will serve as the road team in the clash over at Ted Leonard Park, wrapping up a now two-game season set TODAY, Tuesday, April 28th with first pitch set for 4:00 PM.
The changes come as Guilford’s originally scheduled Tuesday matchup with Carolina University was cancelled as the Bruins earned a postseason berth and Tuesday became a travel day. So, the Quakers instead decided to take on Greensboro for a single game to close out the season.
