(This is our Fred Anderson Toyota of Raleigh Game Report.)

WP:Seth Keener(3-1)/LP:Victor Cabreja(0-3)
WS Dash' Line-13-16-1 Hoppers' Line- 9-11-0
Hoppers record falls to (25-15), while the WS Dash move up to (24-16), for 2026…
Greensboro Grasshoppers’ REMAX Revolution Players of the Game, were Yordany De Los Santos, who was 3-5/3 Doubles/2 RBI, plus Jared Jones who was 2-4/HR/BB/2 Runs/3 RBI…The Hoppers’ Wyatt Sanford went 2-4/Double/2 Runs/RBI/SB…Stolen Base #16 of the season, from Sanford…Grasshopper’ DH Axiel Plaz was 2-5/2 Runs…New Hopper Murf Gray was 1-5, and Gray’s first hit as a Hopper was a Homer/Home Run…Shalin Polanco went 1-3/HBP/SAC Fly/Run/RBI…
Real tough nights for two of the Hopper pitchers…Starter Victor Cabreja went 2 2/3s Innings, allowing 7 Runs, on 6 Hits, with 1 BB/6 Ks, and he gave up 2 HRs..Former starter, now reliever Bryan Mena worked 3 Innings, giving up 6 Runs, on 6 Hits, with 1 BB/2 Ks, and he gave up 1 Dash Home Run…Cabreja and Mena were tagged for all of the Dash’ 13 runs, in this contest…
The Dash’ Winning Pitcher, Seth Keener, came on in relief of the starter for Winston-Salem, Gabe Davis, with Keener going 2 1/3 Innings, giving up 0 Runs, on 0 Hits, with 1 BB/3 Ks…Keener is the former Wake Forest Demon Deacons pitcher…
The WS Dash had three Home Runs in their Tuesday night victory over the Greensboro Grasshoppers, and those 3 Key HRs came from Alex Unger, George Wolkow, and Boston Smith…Unger with a Two-Run Home Run, while Smith and Wolkow both had Three-Run Home Runs for the Dash…Wolkow was the top Dash hitter in the game, with George going 4-5, and he had a Triple, to go along with his Home Run, and Wolkow had 4 RBI for the night…The Dash’ Ely Brown went 3-5, and he scored two runs, but Brown got the first hit of the game for the WS Dash, and it turned out to be a “Hopper Killer”…Brown scratched out a Bunt Single on the third base side of the infield, and the Hoppers’ pitcher at that time, their starter, Cabreja, well he went to the ground to try and field the Brown’ bunt, but the ball went right over Cabreja’s body, and Brown reached safely at first base…And after that bunt reach by Brown, Cabreja was not the same pitcher, that he was before Brown reached base…Next Cabreja gave up a Two-Run Home Run to Alex Unger, and the Dash proceeded to get Four Straight Hits, and Four Straight Runs, off of Cabreja…And Cabreja ended up giving up 7 Runs, on 6 Hits, in that Bash by the Dash, in the Top of the Third Inning…
To me, and that is just me, but that Bunt by Brown, Ely Brown, that became the turning point of this game…Bunt got over Cabreja’s body, as he went to ground, and the rest is just profound…Dash pitchers, Frankeli Arias, Jake Peppers, and Morris Austin gave up Five up the Hoppers’ nine runs, and the other four came of of Dash starter, Gabe Davis…
Hoppers led 1-0 after two innings, in this I-40 Battle, and then they never led again….Dash went up 7-1 in the Top of the Third, and the Dash never looked back again…Four more Dash runs in the 6th Inning, helped push them to their 13-Run total night…
