Hernandez Wraps Up Day Two of NCAA Winston-Salem Regional

BERMUDA RUN, N.C. – Kelvin Hernandez of the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men’s golf team is currently tied for 38th place after the conclusion of the second round of the NCAA Winston-Salem Regional on Tuesday at Bermuda Run Country Club.
Hernandez notched an even-par (71) in Tuesday’s second round to be in a tie for 38th place. The junior posted a one-over-par (72) in the opening round on Monday to currently stand with an overall score of one-over-par (143).
Hernandez is tied for 11th in the field with 25 pars across the two rounds. In addition, he has notched six total birdies in the tournament so far.
Ben James of Virginia is pacing the 75-player leaderboard with round scores of 66-63.
Virginia remains atop the 14-player leaderboard after Tuesday’s second round with a 27-under-par (541).
Among The Southern Conference (SoCon) at the Winston-Salem Regional, Harris Barth of Furman moved up 18 positions in the second round to be in a tie for 18th place with round scores of 72-68, while Tyler Jones of Western Carolina stands tied for 25th place behind scores of 67-74.

Hernandez will conclude the NCAA Winston-Salem Regional with the third and final round starting at 9:42 a.m. TODAY/Wednesday at Bermuda Run Country Club.
The low five teams and the low individual not on those teams will advance to the 2026 NCAA Championships, held from May 29-June 3 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
