Hoppers' Line-19-14-1 Burgers' Line-13-16-1
Greensboro Grasshoppers improve to (29-17), while the Hub City Spartanburgers, from Spartanburg, South Carolina, fall to (24-21)…
First pitch of the game, Hub City’s Yeison Morrobel homered to right field, a solo shot…That was followed up by a Solo HR to left field, by the Burgers’ Rafe Perich…The Burgers got another Solo HR, coming from Quincy Scott in the second inning…Gleider Figuereo hit a solo home run for Hub City in the fourth inning…Luke Hanson smacks a Two-Run homer for Hub City in the sixth inning, and then Rafe Perich connects again, with his second home run of the game, and this time it was a Three-Run HR, in the ninth inning…
Six Home Runs for the Hub City Spartanburgers in this Tuesday night baseball game from First National Bank Field…
And now let’s take a look at the home team, and see how the Greensboro Grasshoppers did in this Home Run Derby, which became a, Long Gone Sing-Along….
Jhonny Serverino got it going for the Hoppers, with his Grand Slam HR in the Bottom of the First Inning…Then Wyatt Sanford and Yordany De Los Santos hit Back-to-Back LOOOOONG GONE Home Runs, in the Bottom of the Fourth Inning..Solo Smacks for Sanford and De Los Santos…In the Sixth Inning, it Wyatt Sanford with his second HR of the contest, Solo HR #2 of the game for Sanford…Later in the Sixth Inning, Murf Gray gets in on the act, with his Solo Home Run, for the Hoppers…In the Seventh Inning, Sanford goes yard for the third in the ballgame, with his Two-Run Blast…Then for some icing on top of the cake, Easton Carmichael drove a ball out of the park, and his was a Big One, as Easton went north, and he crushed a Grand Slam Home Run…At that stage of the game, the Bottom of the Eighth Inning, the Greensboro Grasshoppers had taken a 19-10 lead over the Hub City Spartanburgers…
Hoppers hang tough to win, 19-13, after the Burgers got that Three-Run home run from Rafe Perich in the Top of the last frame of the game(Top of the Ninth Inning)…Hoppers Win, Hoppers Win, Hoppers Win, Hoppers Win Again…And our REMAX Revolution Player of the Game is Wyatt Sanford, with his Three Home Runs, on the night….Overall Sanford goes 3-5/3 HRs/4 Run/4 RBI…Sanford joins Matt Gorski and Jackson Glenn, who both had Three-Homer games in recent years for the Greensboro Grasshoppers…
For the Burgers, Rafe Perich went 4-5/2 HRs/Double/BB/3 Runs/4 RBI…Yeison Morrobel goes 4-6/HR/Double/3 Runs/3 RBI…Luke Hanson was 3-5/HR/3 Runs/2 RBI..
The Hoppers used Five Pitchers, and the Burgers used six…And it was just one of those Wild and Crazy Games, where the Hoppers led 6-2, then it was 6-3, then it became 6-4, and then it jumped up to 8-4, then it goes to 8-5, then it was 8-8, then 10-8 Hoppers, then 12-10 Grasshoppers, and then it jumped up to 19-10 Hoppers, and then you had the final score of, 19-13 Greensboro Grasshoppers…The Burgers tied the game at 8-8, and then 10-10, and Spartanburg was able to tie the game, but Hub City never moved in front of the Grasshoppers over the course of the entire ballgame…
So much going on in this South Atlantic League baseball game, and though this game was NOT one of those South Atlantic League Classics, it will be a game to remember for quite some time…The Hoppers out-lasted the Burgers, and the taste in the Grasshoppers mouths will be Good, as they head into the Wednesday Noon Time Clash, with the Hub City Spartanburgers…
A very busy night, on Tuesday night, at First National Bank Field, and the hitting was WAAAAAAY ahead of the pitching on this night…
