Here is the list of Greensboro Grasshoppers that homered on Wednesday:
Johnny Severino #20 for 2026
Edward Florentino #11
Sammy Stafura #10
Brian Sanchez #7…
(This is our Fred Anderson Toyota of Raleigh Game Report.)

Those Home Runs had a lot to do with the Hoppers winning the game, but it was one of those games, where the Grasshoppers were down, and they had to battle back…The Greenville Drive took a 1-0, on the second pitch of the game, when Enddy Azocar homered on a fly ball to left field…Just the second pitch of the ballgame, and the Grasshoppers were already behind, 1-0, to the Greenville Drive…And the Home Run to start off the game, came off of Greensboro’s and the Pittsburgh Pirates’ top pitching prospect, Seth Hernandez…
So, the Greensboro Grasshoppers got taken down by the Greenville Drive, 6-2, on Tuesday night, and now they trail early in the Wednesday contest…And, as sure as the crow and the eagle flies through Downtown Greensboro, the Hoppers were down all the way until the Bottom of the Fourth Inning, but they were not OUT…If you think back to Tuesday night, in the Hoppers’ loss to the Greenville Drive, the Hoppers could only come up with Three Hits for the entire game…
Greensboro started getting warm in the Bottom of the Third Inning, where Camden Janik reached on a Single, and Dylan Palmer produced a Double..No runs, but you could feel the Magic was coming back around…In the Bottom of the Fourth, with the score still 1-0, Greenville Drive, lightning struck, but it did not bring rain, it did this instead….
Brian Sanchez homers on a fly ball to left field. Murf Gray scores.
Hoppers go up 2-1, over the Drive, and the fun has just begun…By the time the Grasshoppers had moved in front, Hoppers’ starting pitcher, Seth Hernandez, was already out of the game…Hernandez exited after the Top of the Third Inning, and for the day, he worked Three Innings, allowing 1 Run, on 2 Hits, with 1 BB/4 Ks…And he gave up the Home Run to the Drive’s Azocar, who was the very first batter of the game…
Hernandez gone, and in comes Victor Cabreja for the Hoppers…All he does is mow down/cut down the Drive batters he faces, 1-2-3, over Two Straight Innings…Six-Up, and Six-Down for Cabreja, and he goes on to be the game’s Winning Pitcher….Cabreja up on that hill for Two Innings, and doing all Zeros, with No Run, Hits, or Walks, versus Victor Cabreja…And he did strike out one Drive batter, but he got what he needed, with fly outs, pop ups, and ground outs…Treyson Peters took to the bump next for the Hoppers, and gave up Nothing over Two Innings, he struck out Two Greenville batters…Jacob Bimbi worked One Flawless Inning, producing all Zeros…Nothing to be seen from the Greenville Drive, as they faced Cabreja, Peters, and Bimbi…Jose Garces came on late to finish things off, and he was touched up for a Two-Run Home Run, by the Drive’s Isaiah Jackson…On the day, the Hoppers give up just Three Runs, on Four Hits, with 1 BB/8 Ks, and they offered up Two Greenville Home Runs…
Eight Strikeouts by the Greensboro Grasshoppers pitching staff, and that means more FREE 20 ounce Pepsis and Mountain Dews for the fans in the stands at Wednesday’s Game…Robert Stutts was posting all those Ks, out there in the Circle K, K-ZONE, and the Circle K Convenience Stores say, “Come and Get Your 20 Ounce Drinks” after another Hoppers’ Eight Strike-Out Effort…Mr. Stutts was at the Presidential Inauguration of JFK, and was in attendance when RFK was shot, so Mr. Robert Stutts, has studied his Ks…
You know what, all this game talk, and we have only mentioned the final score in our game headline…You would think this is one of those game stories you might be reading from the old Saturday Evening Post, and not from the Wednesday Night Highlights and memories of the day, from GreensboroSports.com…

Sammy Stafura going 2-5/HR/2 Runs/3 RBI…Stafura is batting .310, and “he has been hotter that a Depot Stove”….Edward Florentino was 1-5/HR/3 RBI…Axiel Plaz was 2-4/BB/Run/RBI…Murf Gray 3-5/Double/3 Runs…Jhonny Severino went 1-3/HR/2 BBs/3 Runs/3 RBI…Brian Sanchez was 2-5/HR/Run/2 RBI…Josh Tate went 1-4/BB/Run…Camden Janik was 2-5/Run/RBI…Dylan Palmer goes 2-4/Double/BB/3 Runs/RBI…
That is some kind of Hit Parade and Scoring Parade right there, we decided to give our REMAX Revolution Player of the Game Award to the Hopper’s hitting coaches, Jonathan Roof and Quentin Brown, and special consideration going to the Greensboro Grasshoppers’ scoreboard operator, Don Tilley…That was plenty to keep up with, on Wednesday…Excellent job all the way around from Brad Falkiewicz and Curve/Matt Kerr in the Financial Office, Bob Perry down in the clubhouse getting those white uniforms cleaned up and ready to go again, Tim Vangel pushing all the right buttons, Todd Olson taking care of business/helping others, Stephen Johnson making those promotions roll, Gavin Grace on the Video Scoreboard, providing Game Entertainment and pregame Game Notes, Eric Dietz and Dylan James keeping the Tickets coming, Maggie(Basse) doing her Magic all around the ballpark, Drew at the Food and Beverage office, Shonto Williams keeping the back gate straight, and getting ready to be Shonto Claus, Davis Tomlinson doing part-time usher work, and being the man for the Stadium Operations, Tony in the front office, and Anthony Alejo Hoppers’ Head Groundskeeper, with Gary Flynn watering down our world…Plus so many times, it is Drika Davis jumping up, and having “The Key”…..
(And let’s not forget, Big Brad Stutts On The MIC, down on the field, and the Public Address Announcer, Stuart Barefoot.)
Hope we didn’t leave anyone out, and we have Callie Cline, in line here, and she will be on board here soon….
