Drive' Line- 5-8-0
Hoppers' Line-4-5-2

Hoppers see their overall record fall to (53-31), while they stand at (12-6) in the South Atlantic League Second Half…Greenville Drive now at (33-48) for the entire season, and the Drive ride at (7-11) in the second half of the season…

The Greensboro Grasshoppers grabbed an early 2-0 lead in this game, on the Two-Run Home Run from Brian Sanchez, and that HR came in the Bottom of the Second Inning…The Sanchez Shot, scored both Brian and Murf Gray…But the Greenville Drive came alive and tied the score up, at 2-2, in the Top of the Third Inning…Solo Home Runs from Justin Gonzales and Antonio Anderson, got Greenville back in the game…

This was sort of like a back-and-forth ballgame, with Greenville moving on top 4-2, in the Top of Seventh Inning, and the Drive pushed ahead after their Two-Run Home Run, from Stanley Tucker…Tucker’s Blast scored both Tucker and Antonio Anderson…

The Drive added on an insurance run in the Top of the Eighth Inning, when Gerardo Rodriguez’ Two-Out RBI Double scored Yoeilin Cespedes…This put Greenville on top, 5-2, but the Greensboro Grasshoppers were not through, because when Sammy Stafura connected on a Two-Run HR, scoring Stafura and Dean Palmer, the new score was now very tight, with the Greenville Drive hanging on to a 5-4 lead…

The Drive took that lead to the Ninth Inning, and they were able to get the Hoppers, 1-2-3 in the Bottom of the Ninth, and it was the Greenville Drive the Winner, on Thursday night…

Hoppers with just Four Hits for the game, with Dylan Palmer going 2-3/Double/Run…Then Brian Sanchez went 1-3/HR/2 RBI…Sammy Stafura stayed White Hot, and he was 1-4/HR/2 RBI…Murf Gray was 1-4/Run…Hoppers with Four Runs, on Five Hits, and they drew NO Walks…Dylan Palmer was our REMAX Revolution Player of the Game, and he was the Hoppers top hitter, with two base-knocks…
See Dylan Palmer photo Below…
Palmer, Dylan (1)

Greenville Drive Winning Pitcher, Calvin Bickerstaff, worked 4 1/3 Innings, allowing 1 Run, on 1 Hit, with 0 BB/5 Ks…The Drive staff struck out 12 Hoppers and walked None…Hoppers’ Losing Pitcher, Draven Zeigler, went 2 Innings, and he gave up 2 Runs, on 2 Hits, with 1 BB/O Ks, and he gave up one Home Run…

Greensboro Grasshoppers’ starting pitcher, Cameron Keshock, was only around for an Inning, and Two-Thirds, as he had to leave the game early, with what looked like an arm injury…The starter for Greenville was effective, but he must have been on a limited pitch count, because he only was around for 3 1/3 Innings, and the RHP Joe Vogatsky gave up 2 Hoppers runs on Three Hits, with 0 BBs/6 Ks, and he served up a Hoppers’ Homer to Brian Sanchez, and it was a Two-Run Dinger by Sanchez…Vogatsky was tough, and he had some strange pitching mechanics, but it worked for him, and he would twist his neck, and surge through his shoulders, as he delivered the baseball….Fifty-Eight(58) pitches on the night for Joe Vogatsky…..

With the Greenville Thursday Night Victory, the Weekly Series now favors the visiting Greenville Drive, as after Three Games, they are up 2-1…Two-Games-to-One Drive, and still three games left on the Weekly Six-Game slate…

Greenville Drive Home Runs on Thursday from Justin Gonzales, Antonio Anderson, and Stanley Tucker…Gonzales and Anderson with Solo HRs, and Mr. Tucker with a Two-Run Shot…
