Men’s finish with the ball belonging to the West, and they had an inbounds play coming from the baseline near the West basket, and there are 3 Seconds left on the game clock(East leads West, 101-99)…Dionte Neal(Reidsville HS) makes the inbounds pass for the West, and after the inbounds pass, Neal gets the ball right back, and Dionte Neal takes the next pass and heads to just outside the arc/three-point line on right side of the court, close to the West sideline, and Neal takes an off-balance shot from just behind the Three-Point Line, and the shot goes in, just as time expired, and the West Wins, 102-101, over the East Men’s All-Stars…

This was the first time I had seen Dionte Neal play in person, and had seen him on TV a few times, but seeing was believing, as he did not have it going much at all, as he only scored 2 points, that’s right 2 points, until say around the last 4 minutes of the game, and then he got cranking…On that last play, Dionte Neal showed why he is so important to the Grand Scheme of Things, when it comes to local high school basketball and soon to be for college basketball…Neal finished the game, with 12 points for the West…
He Saved His Best for Last, and in his last high school basketball game, and on his last high school basketball shot, Dionte Neal was able to, “Seal the Deal”…It had the appeal, and young fans were heard to squeal, “We Love Dionte Neal”, and if watch him long enough, you will too…
I just have to tell you, “What a Finish”…..That don’t make ’em like that one every day…We are downloading our Joe Spinks interview now, and it will be up soon….
West celebrated their huge win over the East, with that 102-101 final, in favor of the West Men’s All-Stars…

Check out our video interview with the West winning coach, from his playing days at Asheboro High School, to his coaching days at Eastern Guilford High School, Coach Joe Spinks does not come across games like this very often…He did a great coaching job in this one, and he worked the officials hard, to get the right spot for the East inbounds passes, making sure that the East wasn’t getting an easy route to the basket, with the inbounds spots…Coach Spinks called a key timeout, and the West was setting up the “Pickett Fence Play”, per Norman Dale, but Joe Spinks decided to give the Green Light to his point guard/shooting guard, Dionte Neal, and Neal was able to help his West teammates steal one from the East squad…Neal would not be the heel, and you have to feel, his future UNCG Spartan teammates will look forward to having Mr. Neal come join their team of Gold and Light Teal/Blue…
