UNCG Men’s Soccer’s Caleb Borneo Called Up to Trinidad & Tobago National Team

Trinidad & Tobago announce 20-man squad for friendly

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Caleb Borneo of the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men’s soccer team has been named to the Trinidad & Tobago National Team 20-man squad for a friendly.

The Trinidad & Tobago National Team is set to face off against Louisville City FC on Saturday, July 25, at 8:00 p.m. at Louisville’s Lynn Family Stadium. This will be Louisville City FC’s first friendly match versus a senior national team.

This friendly will be part of the national team’s ongoing preparations for the upcoming Concacaf Nations League, with Trinidad and Tobago scheduled to play four matches when the competition resumes in late September.

This will be Borneo’s first call up, who holds dual citizenship for Trinidad & Tobago and U.S. He was a member of the US U-19 and Trinidad & Tobago U-20 National Teams and is a past member of the Columbus Crew academy.

The midfielder transferred to UNCG from Akron in Spring 2026 and is from Morgantown, West Virginia. In 26 matches with Akron, Borneo scored four goals and tallied two assists.
