We talked to Coach Earl Bates about the upcoming season, some of the players he has lost, some of the ones he has back, and a few that are injured, and on the mend…
It was also time to reflect back on old players from the past, like Eric Bratcher, Toby Bratcher, Coach Tommy Grayson, Coach Sam Jones, Coach Charlie Groves, Tommy Norwood as player and coach, Leonard Willimas, Coach Bill Slayton, Coach Bob Kime and more….And also on Coach Thompson, one of Coach Bates’ current assistant coaches…
Lots of reflection, collection, and connection….Southeast has a scrimmage coming up this week(Friday) at Mount Tabor, where they will go against the Smith Eagles, plus they have another scrimmage set for next week, then the SEG Falcons open the season, at home on August 21, versus the Western Guilford Hornets, inside Coach Bill Slayton Stadium, at Southeast Guilford High School….
