UNCG Men’s Golf Earns Bryan National Collegiate Team Title
BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men’s golf team claimed first place at the Bryan National Collegiate on Sunday at Bryan Park in Browns Summit, North Carolina.
Sunday’s win marks the third time out of four years that the Spartans have won the team title at their own Bryan National Collegiate (2026, 2024, 2023).
TEAM
UNCG concluded the three-round tournament with another seven-under-par (281) performance to finish 26-under-par (838) overall.
The Spartans were the only team that finished under par each round with scores of 276-281-281.
Radford was the runner-up team with a seven-under-par (857) after round scores of 283-291-283.
The Blue & Gold led the way in par fives with a 4.47 average, while also having seven eagles and 56 birdies.
INDIVIDUAL
The Spartans had five of its nine golfers finish in the top 10 overall. Four of those five scores counted toward the team score.
Radford’s David Goode claimed the individual title following round scores of 70-69-64 for a total of 13-under-par (203).
Graduate student B.J. Boyce completed the two-day tournament tying for second place, following scores of 67-68-71 for a total of 10-under-par (206).
He ranked first among the leaderboard with a 4.00 average in par fives and fired three eagles.
After two rounds of 67 for senior Kelvin Hernandez, the senior posted a one-over-par (73) third round score. He finished in fifth place with his nine-under-par (207).
Sophomore Reece Sanders, who competed as an individual and made his collegiate debut, moved up 14 spots to tie for seventh. Junior Jake Lewis, who improved 27 spots, matched Sanders’ performance.
Sanders had scores of 72-72-69 for a three-under-par (213) scorecard.
Lewis recorded rounds of 72-74 on day one and then made his way up the leaderboard with a five-under-par (67) for a three-under-par (213) performance.
Junior Will Guidry rounded out the Spartans in the top 10 following a two-under-par (214) tournament score. He fired rounds of 72-72-70.
Following rounds of 76-71, junior Liam Percy went two-under-par (70) in the final round to move up 16 spots, tying for 25th place.
Junior Cole Isbell tied for 42nd place with his round scores of 76-71-74.
Senior Keenan Royalty tied for 49th after scores of 77-73-72, while freshman Lincoln Newton tied for 55th with a scorecard of 70-77-76.
UP NEXT
UNCG will travel east to Durham, North Carolina, to compete in the Rod Myers Invitational from Sept. 21-22 at Duke University Golf Club.
