Lineup for TONIGHT:
6pm Bryant Roche from the News and Record and we will back to last week’s Northern Guilford at Northeast Guilford game, and other games from last week too…Also have to get into the mood for the BIG Page(7-0) at Grimsley(7-0) game for this Friday night, at Jamieson Stadium…Those will be the two BIG factors, but there will be MORE rolled into the segment also, so get ready to hear what the Man has to say, Bryant Roche, with us today/TONIGHT @ Tee It Up…
6:15/6:20ish We have up next, the young men from Grimsley High School…
From the backfield we have RB Ty Shoemake, and from the defensive backfield we have DBs EJ/Evander Davis, and Ramir Harris-Dupree…Lots of good talk from the young men from Grimsley, and it will be interesting to hear what they have to say about tomorrow night’s big game with the Page Pirates…
Again we have:
Ty Shoemake
EJ Davis and
Ramir Harris-Dupree
Next up, around 6:45 we have Coach Damon Coiro with us for our regular Thursday evening Coach’s Corner…Coach will talk about what it was like back when he was coaching in the big Page vs. Grimsley games, as he was the head coach at Grimsley for four seasons, and we also ask him about what he saw in last week’s Northern Guilford at Northeast Guilford contest…Also get the word on how Greensboro College is looking as the Pride prepares for this week’s contest…Also look back at some of the Grimsley coaches from over the years…Coach Brown who is there now, Coach Coiro, Coach Pat Neal, Coach Shuping, Coach Barry Stewart, Coach who used to be the Arena Football Coach here for a while(Mark Saunders), and Martin Samek…Plus Coach Jeff Smouse…
Here is how the story goes from recent years…
Head Coach Tenure / Years
Darryl Brown 2015–Present
Pat Neal 2013–2015
Damon Coiro 2010–2013
Martin Samek 2009–2010
Mark Saunders 2008–2009
Todd Schuping 2004–2008
Jeff Smouse 1990s–2004…For some reason, AI left out Barry Stewart, and he was the first Grimsley coach to knock off Page, since back in 1987, when Coach Jeff Smouse’ Whirlies defeated Page, 10-7, in Overtime, on a Kirk McGuinn field goal…And that was a playoff game…Thinking Coach Stewart came after Coach Shuping, or Coach Saunders…
Page coaches from over the past years…Caylon Hann, Doug Robertson, Jared Rolfes, Kevin Gillespie, Bob Via, Bill King, Marion Kirby….
We added him in, but AI left out Coach Bill King, who took over at Page HS, after Coach Kirby stepped away….
We will look back at those men and that should give us plenty to talk about…If you want to add anything to conversation, text me @ 336-601-4223…
Then we will close it all out with Shane, the main man at Tee It Up Indoors…He will give us the update on what all is currently happening at Tee It Up….
Domino’s Pizza for all our guests, and you can join us www.greensborosportsradio.com…Be sure to tune in, and jump on board around 6pm for Football in Focus, on GreensboroSports Radio….
