High School Wrestling Tonight with the local schools in the duals

Tonight team tournament action gets going and we have these area teams in action….

Northwest Guilford(28-2) vs. Sun Valley(33-7) at Monroe Sun Valley….NWG has Curtis Smith and Jason Leonard in the lineup and they were a couple of tough footballers from the 2011 Viking season….Coach Ron Bare will have his Vikings ready for bear tonight….

Southeast Guilford(21-2) vs. East Forsyth(30-5) at West Forsyth…..The Falcons say Coach Cox rocks and he will have his SEG Falcons rocking and rolling tonight against East…The Falcons call on Adam Couch at 152 to be their leader and he will be battling some very tough foes, as this things goes into the later rounds….Grapevines, Fireman’s carries, Chicken wings, Half-nelsons, Snowplows, Cradles, you should see it all tonight…..(Not real sure if the Figure-four will come into play here this evening….) Certainly no Pile-drivers tonight…..

Dudley(21-4) vs. TC Roberson(Asheville) at WS Parkland…..Parkland looks to own the state’s top record at (45-0) so how do you get out of Winston with a win over the Mustangs? Well, fisrt things first and Dudley must beat Roberson first to get that shot at Parkland…..

High Point Andrews(12-4) at North Henderson(22-8)….Toughest thing to ever come out of HPA Wrestling was probably their old coach Wally Burke….He was one of the best to ever come through the county…..I remember Grimsley had a coach too, named Dennis Barbour and there was the legendary Mike Raybon at Ragsdale and Coach Jim Coggins at Southwest Guilford, and Jerry Reitinger at Northwest Guilford, and Bill Bookout at Northeast Guilford and Bill Hollifield at Western Guilford and Frank Starling at Page, William Boykin at Dudley, Jim Horney at Southern Guilford and the list goes on and on…..

One of the top wrestler’s names from the past today…..Take this name and run with it…..Billy Szostack from Grimsley at 126…..Tough name to spell, but probably pretty close……
