Doris Blue, a ‘True Fighter’ that loved the color Red is gone, but not forgotten and this Thomas says there is ‘no doubting’ the impact that she made/had!

Recently, Greensboro lost a great mom-Doris Blue. Her real linkage to your
fine publication is her eldest child and son David Blue. David has been
coaching track/cross country for close to 30 years at Northeast High School.
He’s developed quite a number of athletes! Included are both his daughter
(oldest Lianna) who ran for UNCC and was an Atlantic 10 standout, plus
his youngest, son Adam matriculating at Guilford College, on the track team
for the Quakers.

Much like David, Doris was a fighter, and challenged Alzhiemers in recent
years. She battled it to the end prior to when God called her home last week. I
have a feeling she KNOWS the NC STATE WOLFPACK IS BACK!! She would have been
so proud of their resurgence this year. My mom has a friend in heaven, and I
am so glad! I followed David in high school at Page, and remember him
capturing the Pirates Cup Award as a senior for INSPIRATIONAL PURSUIT OF
EXCELLENCE! Great job Mrs. Blue, and your son Phillip, daughter Lisa and
husband Walter are fantastic folks too.
