    George Whitfield Hall of Fame added Ethan Albright, Dino Hackett and Bill Slayton to its 2020 class

    The annual George Whitfield Hall of Fame inductions were held down in Goldsboro, N.C. back in mid-January and the this year’s 2020 class included locals Ethan Albright, from Grimsley High School, Dino Hackett from Southern Guilford High School and Bill Slayton, from Southeast Guilford High School… Bill Slayton was the coach that led the 1969 Southeast Guilford Falcons baseball team to the 3-A State Championship…Dino Hackett played high school football for the Southern Guilford Indians/now SG Storm, plus he was a football standout at Appalachian State, and played in the NFL for the Kansas City Chiefs and the Seattle Seahawks…Ethan…

    Dino Hackett(Southern Guilford HS) part of large Sports Gala/gathering at Appalachian State University

    Hailing from Greensboro, NC, Dino Hackett(Southern Guilford High School) began his college football career at Appalachian State in 1981. He earned All-Southern Conference in 1984 and 1985, as well as, All-American in 1985. His No. 38 jersey was retired in 1985. In 1986, Hackett was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the second round. He recorded three sacks in both 1988 and 1990 for the Chiefs. Hackett was selected to the Pro Bowl team in 1988.
