Russ becomes the 86-year old franchise’s third consecutive manager from the greater High Point/Thomasville Triad community. Playing for the HiToms from 2009 to 2011, Jankowski recently posted a 1.42 ERA through 19 innings with the Fresno Grizzlies in the Pacific Coast League before getting his first big league job.
