    UNC Tar Heels topped Elon 11-2 in baseball on Tuesday….. Trevor Gay(High Point Central HS) worked one inning for the Tar Heels and got the win, Taylor Sugg(Southern Guilford HS) worked an inning in relief and then Cole Aker, from Northwest Guilford HS, came on to work an inning for UNC and he closed out the game in the 9th….All three pitchers gave up No runs on No hits, while Gay struck out two and walked two batter, plus Aker walked two and struck out three batters…. from Michael Lindsay at the High Point Enterprise on Twitter and UNC Tar…

    Hansen Butler from High Point Central has verbally committed to UNC-Chapel Hill as a 2014 graduate (RHP). Hansen helped lead the HP Central to one of their best years in recent memory in 2012….Butler, along with Trevor Gay, Zach McLean, Will Johnson, Josh Wilson, Colin Fowler, Lucas Hess, Kendrick Davis, Michael Feeney, Tyler Wilson and others, all put the Bison in a position to win big games this past season….Coach Morgan has a lot to work with, with many of these young men returning to High Point Central for the 2012/2013 baseball campaign….     Hearing earlier today that Mike Gaski might be gone as the baseball coach at UNCG and he could end up stepping down and move into a retirement plan from the University, but now it is coming down that UNCG softball coach Jennifer Herzig’s contract will not be renewed and she is out at UNCG… More details coming up later this evening on the softball coaching move at UNCG….Possibly more coming down on Mike Gaski and UNCG later on and we will keep you updated on that front too….UNCG assistant coaches say he is staying on for a while longer….
