Once a Tiger, then a Terrier(Wofford) and now a Jaguar….Kasey Redfern(Ragsdale High School/Wofford) has made the move into the Jacksonville Jaguars’ training camps as a kicker/punter… This news came our way last evening: Kasey Redfern has signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Coach Tommy Norwood(Ragsdale HS) has talked with Kasey and he is one only three punters/kickers that will be attending training camp. Good job Kasey Redfern and we hope he finds a way to stick and kick in the NFL….. ‘Kasey the Kicker’, as we used to say/call him back in the day, is ready to play and let’s hope…
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference named its football players of the week Monday for all games played Saturday, October 12. Wofford kicker Kasey Redfern(Ragsdale High School) was named the Special Teams Player of the Week. Kasey Redfern, a senior from Jamestown, N.C., handled all of Wofford’s kicking duties in a 31-27 victory over Elon. Redfern placed five of his six kickoffs in the end zone for touchbacks and averaged 65.0 yards per kick. The senior punted five times and only allowed one return as he averaged 42.2 yards per kick.
