The East-West football game will kick-off at 8pm tonight at Jamieson Stadium on the Grimsley HS campus. The will conclude the All-Stars week and it promises to be a game that will keep you on the edge of your seat all night long.
There will be a special fireworks show at halftime and the local players you’ll see before many of them take off to college include: Jarvis Siler of Ragsdale, Lionel Shoffner of Grimsley, Shane Moore of Northeast Guilford, Josh Morgan of High Point Andrews, and Tyrone Goldston of Asheboro.(all of the above are on the West squad and so is QW mentioned below)
Quan Worley, a runningback out of Thomasville, is player to watch according to Tyler Rankin a former defensive back at Ragsdale. I have never seen Worley in action and look forward to seeing what this kid can really do.
Former Grimsley coach Todd Shuping will be roaming the Grimsley sidelines for the last time, as an assistant coach, for the West team. Ten bucks to get in and parking is free.
There are a couple of All-Star features in today’s News&Record.
