Golden Corral NFL Picks Contest

It’s time to get rolling with week number four of the NFL season and Rob is Ready and Big Jim says, please look at these.
Robs Picks:
Houston vs Atlanta (HOU) – Atlanta will eventually win a game, but it won’t be this week. Matt Schaub will enjoy beating the team that prematurely shipped him to Houston. Maybe he should just send them a thank you card? Houston by 14.

Jets vs Buffalo (NYJ) – They looked good against Miami last week so we’ll pick’em this week against a really bad Buffalo team. Until the Bills show us something, we’re not buying. Jets by a TD.

Baltimore vs Cleveland (BLT) – Baltimore let Arizona back in the game last week, but don’t expect them to let that happen this weekend. Cleveland followed up it’s amazing win against the Bengals with a huge “L”at Oakland. Too much Baltimore defense as usual. Ravens by 17.

St. Louis vs Dallas (DAL) – Dallas looks like they’re ready to punch their ticket to the Super Bowl. St.Louis is still looking for its first win. Tony Romo will find Witten and Owens early and often on Sunday. Dallas by 20.

Chicago vs Detroit (CHI) – New quarterback equals new life for the Bears. While we have been impressed with the Lions start, we just can’t get last week’s disaster in Philly out of our heads. If Brian Griese doesn’t trip over a dog this week, the Bears will win by 10.

Oakland vs Miami (MIA) – A matchup of horrible teams. Miami will prevail at home in a game that many will wish was just decided by a coin flip. Oh the humanity! Dolphins by a FG.

Green Bay vs Minnesota (GB) – We’re gonna have to stop referring to Brett Favre as a “hobbling old man” if he keeps up these performances. Minnesota doesn’t have the offense to keep up with the Packers in this one. Green Bay by 14.

Tampa Bay vs Carolina (TB) – The Panther’s have been anything but impressive this year and the Bucs are looking like the Tampa Bay of old. Ok, the Tampa Bay of the early 2000’s. Buccaneers by three.

Seattle vs San Francisco (SEA) – Whether Shawn Alexander is injured or not, the Seahawks are just too overpowering in this one. Seattle by 17.

Pittsburgh vs Arizona (PIT) – Arizona’s play has impressed us, but the Cardinals just can’t seem to ever win the close ones. Pittsburgh is playing like the Steelers of old, both offensively and defensively.Cardinals play close for a half, but the Steelers will pull away and win by 20.

Denver vs Indianapolis (IND) – We just can’t pick against the Colts until they lose. Jay Cutler will be a good one, but the Bronco’s need him to perform now, rather than later. Colts by 10.

Kansas City vs San Diego (SD) – Could Norv Turner be a worse coach? Could the Chief’s have a worse offense? Can we quit picking San Diego? Not even the Chargers can bungle this one and yes, we said the same thing last week. San Diego by one.

Philadelphia vs NY Giants (PHI) – Philly looked the way we expected them to be last week. The Giants finally squeaked one out in dramatic fashion. The Eagles just looked too storng last week not to pick them. Eagles by seven. Total points? 45

Big Jim’s picks:Chicago at Detroit(Chicago)
St. Louis at Dallas(Dallas)
Oakland at Miami(Miami)
Houston at Atlanta(Houston)
N.Y. Jets at Buffalo(Buffalo)
Green Bay at Minnesota(Minnesota)

Seattle at San Francisco(Seattle)
Tampa Bay at Carolina(Carolina)
Denver at Indianapolis(Indianapolis)
Kansas City at San Diego(San Diego)
Pittsburgh at Arizona(Pittsburgh)
Philadelphia at N.Y. Giants(N.Y. Giants) Don’t forget the total points on this the SundayNighter.
*****Get those picks in as soon as you can and take advantage of your chance to win a $20.00 Gift Certificate from Golden Corral. Don’t you think those Eagles throw-back jerseys from last week should have been thrown away and what about that QB that Rob said was tripping over a dog?

  12. There are more people calling for Paul Lambeth’s head than there are fans who want to get rid of Turner. The experts are demanding PTL(Paul T. Lambeth II) be released but we have to keep in mind that he has a 16 and a half week contract.

  13. Better picks and a slightly better journalistic decorum and Paully Walnuts would be on his way to writing for the Ansonville Times. Maybe.
