There are several key games set for this afternoon but with all the recent rain and the wet field conditions, I doubt we will be playing ball on this Friday afternoon. Let us know if you get any news on game postponements.
Grimsley was due to go out to Northwest Guilford for a BIG Metro 4-A matchup with the NWG Vikings and Eastern Randolph was set to visit SEG and to take on the Falcons.

I talked to a parent from Northern and he said they were supposed to be going up to Morehead today and that yesterday the NG JV’s played one inning in a downpour at Northern and that the Nighthawks had built a 5-0 lead over the Smith Golden Eagles before the game was finally called. The Northern varsity went to Smith and was set to play but that game was called off before it really got started. The NG varsity baseball team beat Smith in the Nighthawks first-ever game back about a month ago.
As far as we know right now the Northern at Morehead game is still on for today and you have to wonder what kind of shape the NG field is in after Thursday’s monsoon.
