Bobcats to pick 9th in upcoming NBA Draft

The NBA held its annual Draft Lottery on Tuesday night and the Charlotte Bobcats received the 9th pick in the upcoming NBA Draft.

It has already been a busy offseason for the Bobcats who made a coaching change earlier this month, naming Larry Brown as its head coach.

The Chicago Bulls won the draft lottery, giving them the right to choose between Michael Beasley and Derrick Rose. Miami and Minnesota round out the Top Three.

  1. Who do you guys think that the Cats will take? I am hoping that it will be one of the Heels who is leaving early. Come on MJ, pick one of your boys!!

  2. Turtle, most of the mock drafts that I have seen this morning have Charlotte taking either Kevin Love out of UCLA or the big Randolph kid out of LSU. Lawson is projected to go in the late First Round and the other UNC guys are not projected as First Rounders. I think it would be foolish to take Lawson with such a high pick, especially since we already have a former UNC guard in our back court. However, this is MJ calling the shots so you never know but I highly doubt it. The Bobcats need another big guy and Love or Randolph fit the bill.
