Many people in our area are familiar with Bumgarner out of South Caldwell High School and formerly of the 29er’s Legion team out of Hickory/Lenior. Bumgarner pitched one inning in last week’s South Atlantic All-Star game and he now has been the SAL pitcher of the week twice in the 2008 season.
