Earlier this week, NWG defeated Dudley by a score of 3 to 1 in a very good baseball game. Our hats go off to a very good Dudley baseball tream. Dudley hit the baseball very well that included one home run. It could have gone either way, but the deciding factor was a very good defense by NWG. Saunders pitched a very good game with Stell coming in the 6 th to close. Also contributing , was center fielder Clemons for making catches that could have changed the momentum in the game. In addition, NWG defeated Jamestown last night at Ed. Price Field by the score of 11 to 2. Stell pitched a very good game ,but was hit by a line drive and had to come out of the game. Scott Wells came in to finished the game with a great performance. The entire team hit the ball well, but it was home runs by Voss, Mikita and Jonathan Wells made the night. NWG wins the Colt regular season and will play in the Colt Tournament next Tuesday at War Memorial Stadium. Our congratulations go out to the Northwest Guilford Viking players and coaches Sonny Gann , John Gann and coach Beckner for a great summer season. Hope to see you all there at Memorial Stadium next week for a great tournament.
