Greensboro College Head Football Coach Neal Mitchell announced the commitments of 49 newcomers to the program. The 2008 recruiting class boasts 41 freshmen and 8 transfer student-athletes.
The newcomers will join 38 returning letter winners when GC reports to camp on August 12. The Pride’s first practice is the following day.
Under the direction of seventh-year head coach Mitchell, The Pride opens the season on Sept. 6 at Guilford College. The 12th Souper Bowl will be at 7 p.m. at the Armfield Athletic Center.
