Stats tracker now up and working at GREENSBOROSports.com

We are now going after stats from the area Guilford County football teams and we just got the word out yesterday and we already have had two schools respond. We are looking primarily for the top runners, passers, and receivers in the County but we will take defensive stats too and as we get the stats we will keep updating the information base.

I have seen stats on our Guilford County kids at other sites, but not all of our schools were represented and that is what we are shooting for. Trying to put a positive push on the numbers that our Guilford County kids are turning out……

  1. I’ll say at QB it is Cory McKenna. He has been in a solid groove all season and his stats support his case and more.

I’ll take Keenan Allen as the Athlete/Receiver. When he is on, there’s not much this kid can’t do. If his attitude is right, then he is the best overall player around and he should be getting some looks from the Big schools. SEC/Etc.

Someone told me yesterday that SEC schools were becoming interested in Gabe King, big #99 for the Page Pirates. He’s only a junior and he’s tall, 6’6 range and will put on more weight and he does well at defensive end and he caught a TD pass as a receiver last week….

  2. That’s the same story for most of the QB’s on this list other than Romer and Scarfone when you look at quarterbacks that have thrown a lot of passes this season.

When you throw a large number of passes you are going to have picks and the numbers that stand out to me on McKenna are his receivers both Ridenhour and Hooks having over 500 yds. each in receiving yards…

Good discussion and we need Will Newman’s numbers to give this topic a total evaluation.
