Does this mean we will see the return of Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling?
RALEIGH (AP) – Time Warner Cable says it will appeal the ruling by a Federal Communications Commission official that it must carry the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network on basic cable.
The News & Observer reported Friday that Time Warner spokeswoman Melissa Buscher said the company will appeal to the full commission.
Time Warner was ordered by the chief of the FCC’s Media Bureau to begin carrying MASN on basic cable within 30 days.
Two arbitrators had said Time Warner Cable unlawfully discriminated against MASN by refusing to carry the regional sports network. MASN is co-owned by the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals and carries the teams’ games as well as college sports, including East Carolina.
