Maynard comes up BIG for Buffalo Bulls

How about the kid from Grimsley High School in Greensboro, North Carolina?????

“Zach Maynard, who played several snaps for the Bulls out of the shotgun formation, burst through a hole on the right side and sprinted 41 yards for the longest rush of his short career.”

Buffalo delighted 16,058 fans at UB Stadium and Bulls’ fans all over the country watching on ESPN2 by rolling up 476 yards of offense, forcing two turnovers and beating Miami University, 37-17, to improve to 5-4 on the season and 3-2 in the Mid-American Conference. With the victory, the Bulls have their first three-game winning streak since 1996.

The RedHawks would not go away after intermission. They took the opening kickoff of the second half, and aided by two 15-yard penalties on Buffalo, scored on a three-yard run by J.R. Taylor to cut the lead to 21-17 with 12:05 left in the third quarter.

Once again, however, the Bulls responded, this time behind the Bulls’ backup quarterback, freshman Zach Maynard. Maynard, who played several snaps for the Bulls out of the shotgun formation, burst through a hole on the right side and sprinted 41 yards for the longest rush of his short career.
