Big-game Bennett nets career-high: NWG over Smith 72-51

Gretchen Bennett hit for a career-high 32 points last Friday night as the Northwest Guilford girls knocked off Smith, 72-51.

We didn’t have this score back on Saturday morning, but we went to work to track it down as soon as word started to spread about the big game Bennett had, and now we will try and get more details on this fine win from NWG head coach Darlene Joyner.

The win takes the NWG Vikings to (16-3) on the season and they now stand at (6-0) in the Metro 4-A with four games to play and we will be keeping an eye on Big-game Bennett to see if she can top that 32 point output from the other night.

Bennett has a great outside shooting touch and it’s not surprising that she hit for 32, but the big question for Big-game Bennett is, can she beat brother Hunter Bennett in a game of one-on-one………

Good job by Gretchen and another fine outing by the Vikings.
