Southwest Guilford at Carver was able to get in 3 1/2 innings before the rains came on Friday. Southwest is ahead 9-0 in the suspended game. Brock Hudgens and Davis Inman have a combined perfect game going. Bo Rein had two hits, Will Kellam continues to rip it (check out feature article on Will in Sundays High Point Enterprise), Davis Inman had a 3 run homer, Cal Sutphin had two hits, as did Andrew Pate.
Southwest has the Impact Baseball Easter Tournament in Cary on Monday and Tuesday – other top teams in the event are Ragsdale, DH Conley, and Watauga.
Northwest Guilford is in Hartsville, S.C. next week in the Southeastern Baseball Classic. They play some of the best teams in the nation in this tournament. NW is 12-0 and has scored 96 runs in 12 games and is currently ranked 4 th in the state. Keep your eye out for all of these very talented players. They are McKinney, McIntosh, Swim, Mikita, Clemmons, Houston, Dixon , Becker and Stell. Good luck guys..go Vikings

Wa, I know they’re good kids and doing their best. That wasn’t my point. They are just not great at baseball. Not calling any names. They do well in basketball and football. For some reason baseball is not their strength. If that is not the truth please correct me.
