Let’s hear it again for Wil Myers from HPW: on USA Today’s All-USA Baseball Team

Wil Myers has done, done it again, you might say. He’s just been named to the Top High School baseball team in the nation. This is quite an honor for the young man from High Point Wesleyan/Wesleyan Christian Academy.

It’s the USA Today All-USA Baseball Team First Team selections and here are Wil’s stats from today’s USA Today on-line edition:

C Wil Myers Wesleyan Christian Academy High Point, N.C. 6-3, 190 Hit .532 and had 14 home runs, 41 RBI and 13 stolen bases in 62 at-bats. Has played every position.

Usually I wouldn’t go this route, but we have covered Wil Myers very closely this season and I still remember that Monday afternoon game at Grimsley, right after the Easter/Spring break, when he hit three out in the same game against the Whirlies and after the third homer the pro scouts just walked away shaking their heads.

I’m sure may of Wil’s fans and followers have seen this many times over the years and here’s the USA Today account on Wil from today’s published edition and you can’t get this part on-line. Normally we just list the internet contents, but today we will re-create what the USA Today hard copy has to say about Wil. The kid is deserving……
