FLOW AUTOMOTIVE JOINS WYNDHAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Car Dealer will provide Courtesy Cars for PGA TOUR event

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Flow Automotive Companies has signed a multi-year agreement to sponsor the Wyndham Championship as a premier partner. The Winston-Salem, N.C.-based company will provide courtesy cars and all other tournament vehicles for PGA TOUR players and tournament officials, it was announced today.

Flow Automotive Companies has car dealerships, service centers and collision repair centers in Greensboro, N.C., Winston-Salem, N.C., Fayetteville, N.C. and Charlottesville, Va. The company brands are Acura, Audi, BMW, General Motors, Land Rover, Mazda, Mini, Porsche, Saab, Subaru and Volkswagen.

Flow Automotive will provide a total of 150 tournament vehicles that will be used as courtesy cars, on-course player evacuation vehicles and tournament trucks among other tournament vehicles. The company will use multiple brands to provide the vehicles instead of using one specific manufacturer.

“Flow Companies is pleased to announce our support of the Wyndham Championship,” Don Flow, chief executive officer of Flow Automotive Companies said. “We are grateful for the leadership that Bobby Long and the Board of the Wyndham Championship have provided. Their commitment and vision to not only retain the tournament in the Piedmont Triad, but to also grow and enhance it is the reason that we have joined as a premier partner in the tournament.

“We believe that hosting a national sporting event in the Triad makes an important statement about the character of our community. We will be providing vehicles from all of the brands we represent to be used during the event by the players and the staff of the event.”

“This news is wonderful for the Wyndham Championship,” Piedmont Triad Charitable Foundation Board of Directors chairman Bobby Long said. “We have been working diligently to continue making the Wyndham Championship a Piedmont Triad event, and Don Flow is a Winston-Salem businessman who recognizes how important this event is to the entire region; we appreciate his commitment to the region and his involvement in the Wyndham Championship.

“I don’t know of another PGA TOUR event whose tournament vehicles are provided by a multi-brand dealership instead of a manufacturer; Don may have come up with a new way for PGA TOUR events to handle this important part of each tournament.”
