Looking for something to do? Rocky Bennett says come on down to Asheboro

I spoke to the man that put Cherryville on the baseball map this morning and he said, “tell everybody to get on down to Asheboro’s McCrary Field tonight”.

Rocky Bennett is in the Triad from Cherryville, where he is the top name in Legion baseball and Rocky is in charge of this week’s State Junior Legion baseball tournament at Asheboro’s McCrary Field.

On the phone this morning, Rocky said they have the best field of talent that they have had in years and they have games going all day(Friday) in the Junior Legion event. They started at 10am this morning and they have the last game of the day set to start at 7pm tonight at McCrary Field in Asheboro, home of the Asheboro Copperheads of the Coastal Plain League.(Summer collegiate league with players from all over the country.)

The Copperheads will be at McCrary Field on Saturday, so the Junior Legion guys will move over to the Moore County High School and return to McCrary on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday of next week to conclude the State Tournament.

Head on down to Asheboro’s McCrary Field tonight and be sure to say hello to Rocky for us………
