Flair makes if official: Ric ready to return to the ring, while another wrestler dies

from prowrestling.net:

Eric Bischoff told Prowrestling.net last night that Ric Flair has officially signed on to be part of the Hulkamania tour.

Jason Powell’s POV: It’s official. Ric Flair is returning to the ring on the November tour of Australia that will feature Hulk Hogan, Ken Anderson, Umaga, Rikishi, and other former WWE stars. The tour will feature Flair’s first match since his retirement match with Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 24.

Independent pro wrestler Matt “Riot” Lowry died at age 22 after a training session held at the building formerly known as ECW Arena in Philadelphia, Pa. on Monday night. An autopsy is scheduled for today. Multiple websites have noted that the CZW promotion runs training sessions on Monday nights at The Arena.

Jason Powell’s POV: The news report noted that police stated that Lowry suffered “severe head injuries.” However, one of the men who trained Lowry told the station claimed that he suffered an aneurism while warming up outside the building. Obviously, we’ll be keeping a close eye on this story.
