HS football All-Guilford and area checklist

The FedEx ground man would have to be Aaron Jones of Western Guilford. Jones ran for three more touchdowns and over 100 yards as WG beat Southern 28-27. Jones now has 15TD’s for the season with 6 games left to play…..

1) Aaron Jones-WG

2) Warren Scott-Southern Guilford……Scott had 124 rushing for the Storm in the 28-27 loss which came on a missed PAT kick for SG.

3) Michael Sanders-NEG…..This kid can run with the best of them and he showed why last Friday night vs. Page. Over 125 in rushing/receiving with a TD and 2-point conversion run.

4) Tony Rustin and Drew Rogers-Page……Tony had a great defensive night for the Pirates in the win over the NEG Rams and Tony also played fullback in the Pirates’ jumbo backfield package and scored a TD from one yard out. Rogers ran for 2TD’s and he was a steady compliment to Thuc Phan who rushed for 107 yards for Page.

5) Matt Pawlowski-NWG……Matt lead his team to victory for the 4th time this season going 6-10 in passing with 117 yards and 2TD tosses.

6) Evan Aguilar and Akeem Langham-High Point Central…..Aguilar had two key interceptions and Langham returned a fumble 42 yards for a touchdown in the Bison’s 19-12 win over High Point Andrews. Quan Stevenson was big for HPA.

7) DeSean Anderson-Ragsdale…..DeSean had two extra-large touchdown catches on a night where Tiger junior quarterback Luke Heavner threw three interceptions, but the Tigers still cruised to victory with “D” lineman Daniel McNeil and “D” back Darius McQueen both adding TD’s on fumble returns as the Tigers took out Roxboro Person 35-7…..

8 Alex Moore-Dudley…..Moore threw for two scores and he was a bright spot for the Panthers as they beat a very tough Durham Hillside Hornet squad 30-23…..

9) Jarod Pluciniczak-Bishop McGuiness…..Jarod hit for the four TD sub and he ran for more than a foot-long as he gained 185 yards on just 6 carries as Bishop bested South Stokes 55-0. Pluciniczak is having himself one heck of a year as is his kicker, Kevin Saxon or Faxon…..Last week Kevin was Faxon and this week he is Saxon. Will the real Kevin please kick! Bishop is still unbeaten, now at (4-0).

10) Michael Fields-SEG…..Michael had two rushing touchdowns in the Falcons’ 26-21 loss to Eastern Randolph, a game that SEG led 21-14 at halftime……
