NWG assistant football coach named the Head Football Coach at North Moore

ASHEBORO — After 11 years as an assistant high school football coach, Greg Simmons say he’s ready to be a head coach and North Moore High School Athletic Director Bob Collins agrees.

Simmons, who coached seven years at Randleman High School before spending the past four years at Northwest Guilford, has been hired to lead the Mustangs’ football program.

“I’m real excited,” said Simmons, who has been Northwest Guilford’s defensive coordinator the past four seasons. “I feel like I’ve been around the block a little. It’s time for me to take that leap and I’m excited and thankful they gave me the opportunity.”
