Proehlific Power traveled to Hickory Crawdad Field Friday afternoon for a game with Catawba County Stars, a collegiate team out of Hickory. The Power lost their first game of the season 3-2 in 11 innings.
The 12:00 noon start kept a few of the Power from playing due to graduation and college orientation, but the Power held their own. Tuc Fisher pitched 6 strong innings yielding only 2 hits. Brent Moore and Robbie McIntosh pitched in relief.
The game was lost in the bottom of the 11th inning on a pop up between 2nd and ss that was not caught due to mis- communication.
Leading hitters for the Power were Craig Erskine and Heath Causey. The Power play Sunday in Fuquay Varina against another collegiate team in another wood bat game. Brent Moore and David Frances are expected to be the starting pitchers in the doubleheader to be played at Harnett Central High School.
anyone know where the wells brothers are going next year? are they trying to play?
