The look from Greensborosports.com:
*****Nothern Guilford has Rocco Scarfone, Maurice Harris, Muhammed Kellis, TJ Logan, Daniel Downng and Bob Hicks and that’s a lot of offense and NG is ranked #13 in the state in the Pre-season 3-A Poll with Northeast Guilford at #18 and Eastern Alamance all the way up to #8 after playing for the State Championship in 2009….
NG will need some help along the offensive line as that seems to be an area where they may be lacking some of the necessary manpower….
NG has the skilled guys with Scarfone, Harris and others, but Eastern Guilford has a huge offensive line and that will be one of the Wildcats’ strengths this season…The EG “O” line will have at least two kids that weigh in at almost 300 pounds and then plan on doing some pounding…Jeremy Gaddy is a key EG FB/TE and Tyler Hunt is a kicker with range from 45-50 yards out…Butch Huffman is WR/DB with experience and first-year player Adam Gunn could help out the ‘Cats…
Eastern Guilford has a very tough non-conference schedule, but if they can get through that part OK, then they may have a chance to win 6-7 games….
Western Alamanace has a new coach, after Hal Capps took off for Mooresville and now might be a good time to work your way past the Warriors…..
EG-NG matchup will be fun again, with the date looming ahead, on October 8, at Eastern Guilford……
