GREENSBORO, N.C. – Guilford College’s Jordan Alexander collected the Old
Dominion Athletic Conference’s (ODAC) Men’s Soccer Player of the Week Award
Monday. The senior forward scored two goals and two assists in the Quakers’
weekend victories over Piedmont College and LaGrange College in in Axton,
Va. He also earned Guilford’s Student-Athlete of the Week Award.
Alexander had a goal and two assists in Guilford’s 5-1 win over Piedmont
Sept. 11. He scored once the following day in a 3-1 win over LaGrange. Both
contests were part of the Cougar Classic, hosted by Averett University.
Alexander has provided a spark off the bench during Guilford’s three-game
winning streak, scoring all of his team-leading 10 points (4 goals, 2
assists) in that time.
Coach Jeff Bateson’s Quakers (3-3) visit crosstown-rival Greensboro College
Wednesday (9/15) at 4:00 p.m. on Pride Field. Guilford opens league play
Saturday (9/18) at Eastern Mennonite University.
