Greensboro, N.C. — Five different Greensboro College players scored goals, and eight had points, as The Pride defeated Warren Wilson College, 5-0, on Wednesday. Joe Peluso (Ashburn, VA/Notre Dame Academy), Chris Davis (Lakenheath, England/Lakenheath) and Giampier Oblach (Venezuela/Panther Creek) scored and assisted for GC (3-4-1).
The Pride led 4-0 at halftime. The Pride had 38 shots to 6 for the Owls. GC led in corner kicks, 12-4.
Also recording goals for Greensboro were Patrick Hayes (Randleman, NC/Ranldeman); Richard Haskett (Kinston, NC/South Lenoir) and Joshua Shore (Boonville, NC/Forbush). Dishing assists for the home club were Jamil Long (Columbus, GA/Pacelli), Justin Henshaw (Burlington, NC/Western Alamance) and Luigi Gino DiPuorto (Thomasville, NC/Ledford).
Woody Wilder (Wytheville, VA/George Wythe) had 3 saves and earned his first collegiate shutout.
