WINSTON-SALEM — Wake Forest University and Notre Dame University will face off in a home-and-home football series, WFU officials announced Monday.
The first game will be next season on Nov. 5 at BB&T Field.
“This is an excellent opportunity for our football program to compete against one of the most-storied football programs in the nation,” Wake Forest athletics director Ron Wellman said in a news release. “Notre Dame has long been recognized for its excellence both academically and athletically and we expect that our fans will thoroughly enjoy having the Fighting Irish come to BB&T Field.”
Wake Forest will play in South Bend during the 2015 season, officials said.
